Ally Sherrick

Ally is an award-winning author of stories for young people full of history, mystery and adventure. Black Powder her debut novel about a boy caught up in the Gunpowder Plot, won the  Historical Association’s Young Quills Award for excellence in children’s historical fiction. Other titles include The Buried Crown, The Queen's Fool and Vita and the Gladiator Highly Commended in this year’s Young Quills Awards. 

Ally is currently putting the finishing touches to her exciting new story, Rebel Heart, set during the English Civil Wars and due for publication by Chicken House Books in March next year.
