Ghosts is back! The beloved BBC comedy series filmed entirely at West Horsley Place makes its return for series 3 on 9th August.

The series continues to follow young couple Alison (Charlotte Ritchie) and Mike (Kiell Smith-Bynoe), who unexpectedly inherit a grand country estate only to find it is both falling apart and overrun with ghosts.

When a historical documentary team comes to film at Button House, Alison and the ghosts are shocked to discover that the assassination plot they’re exploring involves one of their own.

Meanwhile, Mike - always on the lookout for free publicity - begs Alison to accept the offer of a television interview about the old house. The only hitch is Alison is terrified of speaking on camera. Luckily, Thomas is there to coach her in the art of speech-giving. What could possibly go wrong?

Income from film location work is vital in funding the conservation repair work needed at West Horsley Place. Ghosts in particular has also been brilliant in raising awareness of West Horsley Place and the Trust's mission, especially with young people.

It was lovely to see Ghosts stars Martha Howe-Douglas and Jim Howick when they popped in for a visit a few days ago. The cast and crew are such lovely people and are pretty much part of the furniture around here! Ghosts is an absolute joy (check out the blooper reel from series 2 above) and we can't wait to watch series 3- we think it is going to be the best one so far!

Happy watching Ghosts fans.
