BBC's brilliant comedy Ghosts has been an important part of West Horsley Place's story for the last five years. Not only has it generated vital income for our charity; it has introduced this special place to millions of people.

The creators of Ghosts shared the news this week:

We are hugely sad to say goodbye to Ghosts, but also hugely grateful for the spotlight they have given West Horsley Place and for all the ways they have supported the aims of our charity. Our partnership has been much more than just a location hire; Ghosts have supported our village fete, given prizes in local community competitions, welcomed pupils from our local secondary school and so much more. Some of the real -life history of West Horsley Place actually made its way into the Ghosts script!

Ghosts has deservedly been the most successful and most beloved comedy show of recent years, with 5.7million people tuning in to watch it on Christmas Day last year. Series 4 has just been nominated for the Best Comedy BAFTA award.

We can reassure Ghosts fans that we will always be the 'spiritual' home of the show, and that this year we are laying on Filming Tours every Friday. Please do come and celebrate the ending of your favourite show with us.

Mat, Simon, Martha, Jim, Laurence & Ben- we want to say thank you for choosing us to be Button House.
