West Horsley Place Trust today announces that Ben Pearce will be stepping down as Director of the Trust for family reasons.

Ben, who joined the Trust in September 2020, will remain in post until September 2022.

Ben will continue his association with the Trust hereafter, but the Trust has now begun the process of recruiting its new Director.

Ben Pearce said:

“I have sadly come to the difficult conclusion that I need to stand down from my position owing to ongoing and growing care needs at home. I would like to thank the Trust for being so supportive and flexible in accommodating my needs over the past six months – and will very much be supporting the Trust and the next Director to realise the vision for West Horsley Place in future.”

Adrian Lajtha, Chair of West Horsley Place Trust, said:

“We are immensely grateful to Ben for all that he has achieved over the past two years, steering us safely through the uncharted territory of a global pandemic, recruiting a number of very talented new team members, securing a number of significant new sources of grant funding for the Trust and overseeing our hugely successful first summer season of public opening. Thanks to Ben, we are in a position of strength to move forward – and we look forward to continuing to work with Ben on the journey ahead.”

“On behalf of everyone at the Trust, I send our heartfelt thanks to Ben and our very best wishes to Rebecca, Ben and their family.”
