Following government recommendations, and in response to increasing concerns relating to the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the difficult decision to close West Horsley Place to protect the health of our visitors, volunteers, community and staff.

We will be rescheduling events due to take place over the coming months and will provide more details and new dates once confirmed. We will remain busy behind closed doors working to restore the house and prepare to open to the public as soon as it is safe to do so. The staff team will continue to work 9am to 5pm, so please contact us with any queries on [email protected] and will get back to you as quickly as we can.

In the meantime, we will stay in touch via our website and social media. You can also sign up to our free e-newsletter at the bottom of this page to receive regular news and updates.

We hope that you and your loved ones stay safe and we would like to thank you for your continued support during this difficult time. We look forward to welcoming volunteers and visitors back to West Horsley Place soon.

Event rescheduling and refunds

The following events will be rescheduled. We will provide dates and information as soon as we can. In the meantime, information on refunds for each event is below:

30thApril – Talk with Author Daisy Dunn

We will shortly be in email contact with all ticket bookers. If you have booked tickets for Daisy Dunn’s talk we will honour your booking for a rescheduled date later in the year, if you would prefer a refund we will organise that for you.

7th MayBright Apollo’s Lute

With great regret, Investec International Music Festival has taken the now unavoidable decision to cancel its 2020 season, including Paula Chateauneuf's lute recital at West Horsley Place on 7 May. Please refer to the Festival's website www.iimf.co.uk for further details.

14th and 15th May – Shakespeare’s Globe on Tour

Shakespeare’s Globe has taken the difficult but responsible decision to close their doors to the public until further notice, ceasing performances, education activities and tours. They will be in contact with all ticket holders as soon as possible to facilitate refunds. Please visit www.shakespearesglobe.com for further details.

Guided tours and private events

We will be in touch with everyone who has booked a guided tour or private event to discuss rescheduling and refunds.

This will be a very difficult time, as it is for all charities. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled dates, and are in a position to do so, we would be enormously grateful if you would consider donating the price of your ticket to support West Horsley Place or our charity partners. If you have any questions, please contact us on [email protected]
