Half term Hedgerow Adventure - Tuesday 25th October

Join us for a family fun afternoon and discover all the wonderful wildlife that calls the hedgerow home. The team from Surrey Wildlife Trust will help us find and identify creatures and signs of life in the hedgerows at West Horsley Place .

Who lives in our hedgerows?

What wildlife can you find in the five components of a hedgerow?

What is buzzing and singing in the tops of the leaves? Who is hiding in the densest branches? What is that scurrying and sliding under the leaves and deadwood at the base of the hedge? It is all waiting to be discovered by you!

Examine the different parts of a hedgerow to discover all the wonderful wildlife which calls a hedgerow home. You'll be amazed what you find – what lives at the top is very different from what lives at the bottom!
