A two-part workshop on:

Tuesday 20 February & Tuesday 5 March

10am - 1pm on each day.

£100 per person, booking is for both sessions.

Suitable for beginners and those with experience.

In the setting of our stunning Tudor kitchen and led by expert Potter Shelley Bock, you will be making mugs and/or jugs with a step-by-step demonstration whilst explaining the ceramic technique known as slab building.

Explore decorative techniques such as sgraffito and impress printing to personalise your own mugs and jugs.

FIRST SESSION - TUE 20 FEB

During the first session we will be working with clay. Follow step-by-step instructions to create your pottery.

SECOND SESSION - TUE 5 MAR

Our second session involves choosing coloured glazes for dipping and painting your pieces. They will then require another firing before they become shiny and waterproof.

SHELLEY BOCK

Shelley Bock is a fine artist specialising in ceramics and printmaking. Her work explores themes of fragility and transience in the natural world with intent to capture a lightness of touch reflecting this vulnerability. Each handmade piece is inspired by nature and sensitively created often with the use of delicate, white porcelain. Shelley enjoys the unpredictability of working with clay and printmaking and the element of risk.
