Nooks and Crannies Tours

Our guided tours enable you to explore more of the house, including seeing areas never opened to the general public. One of our expert volunteer guides will tell you the story of the house and share its secrets.

Please note that areas may sometimes be inaccessible due to safety or maintenance needs.

Book as an individual, or we have special dates reserved for groups groups (up to 20 people). The tour comprises a 1.5-2 hour guided tour of the manor house and gardens.

This extensive tour provides an unrivalled opportunity to learn more about the history of West Horsley Place. During the tour, visitors will explore the nooks and crannies of the house and delve into the fascinating lives of the many illustrious owners and visitors, as well as finding out more about the architectural history of the house.

"Our guide was excellent, engaging and full of fabulous tales connected to the house and its treasures.  For 2 hours we were completely engrossed and did not notice the time go by.  I definitely could have listened for longer!"

ACCESS

This event is wheelchair accessible, but as this is a historic building please be aware that surfaces are uneven. Access to the ground floor of the manor house is step free and we have a lift to the first floor. Access through the gardens is step free and to the toilets is step free.

West Horsley Place has a gravel carriage sweep and car park is a 3 minute walk from the manor house and gardens. Wheelchair users and guests with restricted mobility can be dropped off in front of the manor house. Limited disabled parking is available at the manor house.

We offer free tickets for essential accompanying carers - please advise us when you book your ticket.

This tour is not designed for young children who may find it a little long.
