Visit Private Group Tours At West Horsley Place we welcome group visits all year around. All places on these tours need to be booked with us in advance. Our Nooks & Crannies Guided Tours Guided by one of our expert volunteer guides, you will be able to explore every corner of the house and see areas never opened to the general public. For the first time in 600 years West Horsley Place is no longer in private hands, but is open for your group to enjoy. This hidden gem has over 1000 years of amazing history with a story around every corner and through every door. Discover what Henry VIII had for lunch in the Stone Hall and see the bag that Walter Raleigh's head was carried in. Enjoy Lord Crewe’s impressive library and Sir Anthony Browne’s glorious Tudor ceiling. This extensive tour provides an unrivalled opportunity to learn more about the history of West Horsley Place. During the tour, visitors will explore the nooks and crannies of the house and delve into the fascinating lives of the many illustrious owners and visitors, as well as finding out more about the architectural history of the house. "Our guide was excellent, engaging and full of fabulous tales connected to the house and its treasures. For 2 hours we were completely engrossed and did not notice the time go by. I definitely could have listened for longer!" IMPORTANT INFORMATION Groups of up to 20 people can be accommodated. A group tour costs £20 per person and there is a free ticket for the group organiser. The tour will last 1.5 hours and include the manor house and gardens. West Horsley Place has free parking and coach parking is available. ACCESS FOR GROUPS Step free access is available around much of the Manor House and Place Farm Barn. To reach the second floor of the Manor House an accessible lift is available. There is a short walk from the carpark to the manor house. However a golf buggy is available to help those who need it. There are accessible toilets available. FOOD & DRINK On selected days, a pop-up cafe is serving hot drinks and snacks in the courtyard of Place Farm Barn. If the cafe is unavailable on the day of your visit, there are many places we can recommend that are very local to us.
