MEET HENRY VIII

Enjoy an interactive experience with the legendary Tudor king and his hostess, Gertrude Courtenay. They will regale you with their incredible stories using real words from their surviving letters. Spark a passion in your children as they watch history come to life. 

While chatting with Henry VIII you can taste authentic Tudor food from the surviving 1533 menu.

BEASTS & BEHEADINGS

Seek out the beasts the Tudors used on their battle banners. Strike fear into your enemies by creating your own coat of arms. Take care running around our wildflower labyrinth - you might come across a tale of severed heads. 

TUDOR GAMES

Get competitive with Fox and Geese or Nine Men's Morris. Try out your skills at skittles and quoits. 

INSULT THE KING IN SONG

Help Henry Courtenay write the rude song that got him beheaded. Fling Tudor insults at all your friends. 

PLAY THE PART OF A COURTIER 

Try Tudor inspired embroidery with workshops from the Royal School of Needlework.  See and touch authentic replica costumes from students at Wimbledon College. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION 

Meet Henry VIII runs from Monday 29 July until Thursday 1 August. 

The Manor House and Gardens will be open all day (10am - 5pm) with 20 min times slots to meet Henry VIII that need to be booked in advance. 

Tickets are £15 for adults and £10 for children (3-16 years)

Most suitable for children aged 7+.
