Join us this summer holiday as storyteller Olivia Armstrong takes us on a magical summer tour of the secret gardens and magical corners of the manor house. You will get to explore the house for this special storytelling experience for families.

Enjoy a special seasonal storytelling walk through the gardens of West Horsley Place with our storyteller Olivia Armstrong. Hear the myths behind the magical flowers, learn how harvest was once celebrated at the Manor House and visit the orchard for a spooky tale. Finally step inside the house itself and enjoy a summery story in the splendid surroundings.

About Olivia

Olivia is a professional storyteller, based in London and originally from Northern Ireland. She works with all ages and communities. From museums to universities, broadcasters to libraries, caves to castles.

Olivia works with many of the major names in the cultural sector – from the British Museum and the National Gallery to Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace She  has also collaborated on storytelling projects with everyone from the University of Utrecht to the Royal Society of British Architects,  the National Literacy Trust to English Heritage. We are delighted to have her as our storyteller-in-residence. 

Important Information

Ticket costs: £10 adult, £7 child (3-16), Family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) £30.

Tours at 10 am, 11.30 am and 2 pm.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

Suitable for all ages. The session will last for about an hour. No tickets will be issued. Please arrive 10 mins ahead of session start to check-in. 

You are welcome to enjoy the walled gardens before or after your tour and to bring a picnic.
