Midsummer is a time of folklore and fairies. Where better to hear their stories than in the enchanted gardens of West Horsley Place? Visit the orchard, settle amongst the trees and flowers, and enjoy a special evening of twilight storytelling, full of magic and wonder.

Olivia will be joined by a special guest Kate Corkery. 

About Olivia

Olivia is a professional storyteller, based in London and originally from Northern Ireland. She works with all ages and communities. From museums to universities, broadcasters to libraries, caves to castles.

Olivia works with many of the major names in the cultural sector – from the British Museum and the National Gallery to Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace She  has also collaborated on storytelling projects with everyone from the University of Utrecht to the Royal Society of British Architects,  the National Literacy Trust to English Heritage. We are delighted to have her as our storyteller-in-residence. 

Kate Corkery

Kate Corkery is a captivating Irish storyteller who has performed in countless venues across the world, delighting audiences of all ages with her engaging style and extensive repertoire. She has won awards for running a storytelling club, organising festivals, workshops and training courses, as well as for her outstanding solo performances at international festivals. She in an original member of 'Common Lore', a founder member of 'Everyday Magic' and one half of dynamic duo 'Spud and Yam'- all established UK storytelling companies. Kate loves to share myths and legends from Ireland and is author of 'Cork Folk Tales'.

She is looking forward to spinning some magical midsummer myths at twilight with her friend and wonderful wordsmith Olivia Armstrong.

Ticket cost: £20

Tours last approx 60 mins.
Tours will move through the gardens, please bring a shooting stick if you require a seat during stops. 
Tours at 6.30pm and 8pm
Suitable for 16+, under 18s must be accompanied
Bar open 5 - 9.30pm. 
Bring your own picnic-gardens open from 5pm
In the event of bad weather the event will move into the manor house.
